This Privacy Policy describes how Deen Assist ("the App," "we," "us," or "our") handles information when you use our mobile application. We built Deen Assist to help you find the Qibla direction, view prayer times, and access Quranic and Islamic content, while respecting your privacy.
a) Location Data
The App requests access to your device's precise (GPS) or approximate location. This is used to:
Location data is processed on your device and is sent to third-party prayer-time services (see Section 3) only as coordinates needed to calculate prayer times. We do not collect, store, or sell your location data on our own servers.
b) Locations You Save
If you choose to save one or more locations (e.g., "Home," "Work") for quicker access to prayer times or Qibla direction, this information (a name and coordinates) is stored locally on your device only. It is not transmitted to us or shared with third parties, and is deleted if you uninstall the App or clear its data.
c) Device and Usage Information
Standard technical information (such as device type, operating system version, and general app usage/crash data) may be collected automatically by service providers described below (e.g., advertising or map-tile providers) as part of their normal operation.
d) No Account Required
Deen Assist does not require you to create an account, and we do not collect your name, email address, or other direct identifiers.

The App relies on the following third-party services to function. When the App communicates with them, your device's IP address and the data listed (e.g., coordinates, tile requests) are shared as necessary to receive a response. Each provider handles data according to its own privacy policy:
We do not control these third parties' data practices and encourage you to review their respective privacy policies.
Deen Assist is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can address it.
We do not sell your personal information. Information is only shared with the third-party service providers listed in Section 3, solely to provide the App's functionality (prayer times, content, maps, and ads).
We take reasonable measures to protect information handled by the App, including using encrypted network connections (HTTPS) for data transmitted to third-party services. However, no method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
